Ikke uventet har kjøperne på boligmarkedet vært ytterst beskjedne i de siste månedene. Málaga-Provinsens forbund for byggeselskaper og entreprenører (ACP) forteller om fall i salg på 40 prosent i årets andre kvartal. Det er imidlertid de usikre fremtidsperspektivene som bekymrer bransjen mest. Coronakrisen har skapt stor tilbakeholdenhet på både det lokale og internasjonale markedet. ACP forventer og håper imidlertid at eiendomshandlerne vil komme i gang igjen fra første kvartal av 2021. Inntil den tid, vil markedet oppleve et prisfall på mellom fem og ti prosent på boligpriser, i følge provinsens byggeselskaper og entreprenører.
